This podcast is for everyone who cares for the critically ill, whether you do it in an ICU, a hospital ward, a PACU, an ED, an OR, or the back of an ambulance.

We Embrace:

• Multi-modality learning that combines high quality audio, video, and infographics.

• The why behind the what - understanding the physiology that informs critical care.

• Deep Dives - some topics are complex; we are not afraid to take the time if thats what a topic requires.

• Bite-sized learning - we try to break episodes into 30 minute bites whenever possible.

• Un-sexy topics - Critical care is not all blood & glory. We embrace topics that most other podcasts don’t cover including: prophylaxis, enteral feeds, weaning vasopressors, delirium, & myopathy.

• Controversy - not everything in medicine, or life, is neat and tidy. Some areas of critical care are messy or controversial. We endeavor to acknowledge & (respectfully) discuss these areas.

• Human Stories - experiences matter - those of patients & caregivers alike. We aspire to tell the human stories behind the medicine.
